Todd C. Villines, MD, FACC, FAHA, MSCCT is the Donald C. Barnes endowed Professor of Cardiology and Vice-Chief of the Cardiology Division at the University of Virginia where he is a cardiologist and researcher with a focus in multimodality cardiovascular imaging and prevention. Dr. Villines is currently the Executive Editor of JACC: Advances, and serves on the editorial boards of JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging and Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging. He is also Past-President of the Society of Cardiovascular CT, immediate-past Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cardiovascular CT, former member of the ACC Board of Governors, and past-Chair of both the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Imaging Section and the ACC Federal Cardiology Section. Dr. Villines has published over 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 4 books (as primary editor) and 12 book chapters focused primarily on cardiovascular prevention and atherosclerosis imaging using cardiac CT. Dr. Villines is a Distinguished Graduate from the U.S. Military Academy (West Point) and was a Colonel in the US Army Medical Corps, where he served as the cardiology fellowship Program Director at the Walter Reed Medical Center, was the Cardiology Consultant to the Army Surgeon General, and was awarded the Bronze Star.
